Traffic Signal Controller
Traffic Signal Controller
Version 1.0

Traffic Signal Controller is a software package that is capable of imitating an eight phase controller cabinet and operating a virtual intersection.

The real world interface currently supports a two phase intersection via your PCs COM port. two phase operation requires one relay box (approximately $60).

A rewrite of the program would be necessary for more than two phases of operation.  Four phase requires two relay boxes and a joiner kit (approximately $130 total).  Eight phases requires TWO COM Ports, FOUR relay boxes and TWO joiner kits (approximately $260)  This rewrite will be in a future version.

The relay box I use is a CK1610, available from Electronics Now

If you get an error about "MSCOMM32.OCX", a "light edition" is available.  The only difference is that the light edition (Called TSCLite - 1.23MB) does not control the Serial Port, which is necessary if you are using the CK1610 to operate an actual signal.  Temporarily unavailable
