|Power Distribution Boxes
With 14 figures throughout the front yard, power distribution becomes a major issue. At first I used the common three way adapters sticking them inside plastic bags to keep moisture away. However, It became obvious something less dangerous was needed./
Thus three power boxes like the one pictured at right were built in about 1996. They are made from cedar siding that was salvaged when a family friend demolished his old garage to build a larger version.
The edges where the two halves join are covered with a gasket type material to try and form a weatertight seal. Notches at each end allow for passage of cords.
The hasp allows for use of a padlock if necessary but so far this has not been necessary.
Once the winter snow falls, it is hard to tell where the power boxes are.
