The HARC has been around since 1972. I've been a member off and on since 1992.
The IRA runs a network of 16 linked 2 meter repeaters that cover most of lower Michigan west of I-75. The heart of the system is in Grand Rapids, MI and uses the tower shown at left.
In a nutshell, the ARRL is to amateur radio what the NRA is to hunters.
Located at Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids Michigan, NWS-GRR is the office I volunteer through for Skywarn.
